Have a question?
-
This is probably the most important part of your treatment, on consultation we check through your medical history, assess your skin and hair to ensure you are suitable for laser, and answer any questions you may have regarding treatment.
Your patch test allows us to test your skin for any sensitivity from the laser, and allows you to feel the laser on your skin.
If you are putting your trust in us and investing in laser we feel it’s only right that we invest the time to explain things fully and make sure all your questions are answered.

If you are thinking about laser and wax or use an epilator regularly we would recommended you stop waxing/epilating 4-6 weeks before your first session to ensure your follicles are full and you have enough hair to treat.
Ensure the treatment area is free from tan - real or otherwise and lightly exfoliate approx 5 days before your first session.
Do not apply any moisturiser, cream, oil or lotion to the treatment area, Aloe Vera is the only thing we would recommend if skin is irritated from shaving.
Close shave the area the night before and not the day of treatment, because when you shave you slightly exfoliate and irritate the area so allow the extra time overnight for the skin to regenerate and make treatment more comfortable.
Shaving the day of your treatment will cause your skin to feel more sensitive throughout the treatment and may limit the amount of energy we can use due to skin sensitivity.

The number of treatments you will need is dependent on many factors: the area being treated, the type of hair being treated, systemic factors such as medications, medical conditions, stress & hormonal influences such as PCOS for example. However, we advise you will need at least up to 12 treatments to achieve optimum results.
-
We would recommend every 4 weeks for the face, and every 6 weeks for the body.
Your treatment area will be continually assessed throughout your course of treatment and your therapist will recommend when you should return for your next session.

We recommend to shave as minimal as possible in between treatments, as this can stimulate hair growth.
We also recommend shaving the treatment area the night before treatment, not the day of because when you shave you slightly exfoliate and irritate the area so allow the extra time overnight for the skin to regenerate and make treatment more comfortable.
-
As with all treatments, it depends on the person and how sensitive they are, as well as the area being treated. Our lasers have contact cooling devices to decrease sensitivity during treatment. The Soprano Titanium laser is a great option for those with a low pain threshold due to being virtually pain-free!

Unfortunately, blonde, grey/white and red hair do not respond to Laser Hair Removal treatment. The Laser is attracted to the pigment in the hair and these hair colours do not produce any pigment so will not be effective.
-
We recommend to notify us of any medication, your medical history or any topical creams you are using at your consultation. If you start medication mid treatment - please contact us as soon as possible.
